Longwood is a village hiding in the hills of Huddersfield and is best known for Longwood Tower. Hardly a tower it is still of historical interest and a local campaign is currently fighting to restore and protect it.

New developments have sprung up in Longwood in the past few years and it is fast become a lively place once again. In the past it has boasted primary schools, post office and several shops but these are long gone.

A quiet place to live (apart from rush hour when the 'rat run' travellers speed through) it is a lovely village with local amenities such as playgroups, coffee mornings and even allotments for the gardeners amongst you!
